Help!! heater in car?

i have a 1998 olds intrigue, just the other day the heater stopped working, lights function and what not but , but when you go to turn fan/blowing strength up nothing happens, it is essentially stuck on "low" with barely nothing coming out.
Any trouble shooting advice or etc woulb be great

I had that trouble in a Chevy years ago. The cable which controls the fan speed had slipped off the switch. Once replaced it worked fine.
