My dog keeps bringing me her ball, what's going on?

I can't play with her right now, so when she brings me her ball, I throw it away from me to indicate to her that I can't play now. She keeps bringing it back to me as if she thinks I'm playing some sort of game with her, but I can't imagine what she must be thinking. Any ideas.

She is just wanting you to play with her, maybe not throwing the ball would let her know you cannot play right now. Good luck. =)

She wants to play. You throwing the ball, regardless of the reason, is making her believe you are playing with her. I'd say hide the ball if you truly don't want to play.

this isnt very complicated, you are obviously playing catch with her...you throw the ball, she brings it back....isnt that the object of the game? maybe instead of taking the ball from her, just ignore it...
