Im not sure what fish to add to my tank. Any ideas? Currently i have:
2 Glass Catfishes
1 Red Swordtail
3 Silver Tetras
1 4-inch pleco
1 Neon Blue Gourami
1 5-inch Dojo Loach

I really do like the female bettas and Bumblebee Blow fish but alas i really dont think they will make good tankmates. Any suggestions other than guppies/platys? thanks to everyone.

Depending on your tank size, I would just fill out the partial schools you've got working. Add three more glass cats and two or three more silver tetras. Both fish will benefit from the added security of a complete school. If you've still got some room left after that maybe get a friend for your gourami.

You're right about the dwarf puffers and female bettas. Bettas and gouramis like to rip each other up. Dwarf puffers would just pick on everybody and upset the balance of the tank.

If that's a common pleco you've got you could consider getting rid of him. That would lessen the bio-load substantially and allow you to get something else, maybe a pair of kribs. Again, not knowing the size of your tank it's hard to know what else you'd be able to add without going over the limit.

Good luck!

Yo Blu, if your tank is large enough about 4 more Glass Cats would be a good addition. A small group of Harlequin Rasboras might be a nice addition, also(say about 6). The Bumblebee Puffer would probably be a fin nipper, but female bettas shouldn't cause any problems. As the Silver Tetras grow, they might become bullies themselves, and will bear watching.
