Here's the official website.

The program sells for about $200 I think, but make sure that the GPS receiver is included. The MINIMUM system requirements are listed there. NOTE: Vista is NOT currently supported.

Print the web page out and take it to any reputable computer store. Any new entry-level Windows XP laptop (Dell has them still) should do, provided you can get power from the cigarette lighter or inverter.

TIP: Before you spend any money, ask other drivers if they use it. They will tell you if it's any good, and what laptop / PDA they use. NOT all software delivers as promised.

I have an entry-level Acer laptop, XP and "Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007 with GPS Receiver" ($140 Canadian). A retired trucker, I use mine for RVing and it works great. If I were still driving, this would be all I'd need.

The CoPilot GPS is a good system. As for how much the laptop would cost, they run anywhere from $300 to $1500 depending on what you want in one.
