i had forgot to put something else in earlier when i asked about heartburn and it burned and hurt my chest and my back i thought i was having a heart attack earlier can it really get that bad?

Yeah it can be really rough. Try not to lie down right after eating; the acids from your stomach get pushed up and hurt more than usual.
I agree, ask about Nexium. It can really help, especially if you get reflux; it can cause lesions in your esophagus.
I carried Rolaids Soft chews, those really helped me.

If it hurt THAT bad, then while it could just be really bad heartburn, it could also be your gall bladder...it isn't TOO terrible of a thing to worry about though...just avoid spicy, greasy foods and mention it to your doctor just to make sure.

yes heart burn can get so bad that lots of people go to the ER thinking they are having heart attacks and end up just taking mega tums!!!

Yes, get some tums with calcium they help. Drink water, stay away from citrusy stuff when you get an attack of heart burn. Lemons, etc.

yes it can get that bad. i have the same problem so i went to my doctor and told him about it. he said since i was in my second trimester is was a little safer to take these pills. ask your doctor if there's anything he/she can do for you, also mention nexium and aciphex. hope this helps!
