I liked him since the Yankees signed him in 1998. I saw Alfonso Soriano playing a Triple-A game that year and you knew he was going to be a star. He is a really exciting player, whether he's hitting a ball 420 feet, stealing a base, or striking out. He's a lot of fun to watch. I was disappointed when the Yankees traded him for A-Rod. Soriano is a great guy with a lot of energy.

He's a great player and all, amazing to see him hate switching from second to left, then end up being a great cf
Still can't call him my favorite, because he's a cub (sorry) and because David Wright IMO is better on and off the field

I'm a big fan and he's on my favorite team. He's pretty freaking awesome and I can't wait to get a full healthy season with him next year.
As a person, I've heard he's really nice and I just read how he volunteers at children's hospitals. :)
