I am not sure why Taco Bell would not be allowed to serve their mexican pizza's just because of the location of the rest.. I do know that Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC are all apart of the same chain.

However I ate at a TBPH once. You could order off of either menu and I remember getting the mexican pizza there. So if the two restaraunts run in the same building I'm not sure why you couldln't get it just because it's next door.

I would call the Taco Bell franchise again and report them.

My guess is that the manager or owner is an idiot. "Mexican pizza" isn't in any way similar to pizza and there should be no competition. Maybe a while ago, someone ordered the Mexican Pizza thinking it was a really cheap pizza, found out that it's the same 7 Taco Bell ingredients in basically unfolded taco form, and got pissed at the manager, who then decided to take Mexican Pizza off of the menu.

Or, it could be a Taco Bell Express, as they often are when they are with a Pizza Hut Express, and they don't have the full Taco Bell menu. However, based on their explanation I don't think this is likely.

The manager of a pizza hut can choose not to sell the taco pizza, if the demand for the product is not sufficient to warrant the store carrying the item. Most PH's allow the managers to do this.
I would assume the taco bell manager has made the same decision. If the demand isn't there, the waste factor for the product may make it cost prohibitive. The manager has to make a profit, and all companies consider waste a factor in what they offer for sale.

That is weird! I'm gonna check that out next time I go to Taco Bell. The one I go to is right next door to Pizza Hut also. That's bulllllll though, they have a right to serve whatever they choose to serve.

Where you went is considered a two in one. They are owned by the same company, yum brands. So they don`t have to carry a full menu. Also part of that company is kfc and a&w, when these two are together you can`t get potatoe wedges only fries.I think this is how they save on food cost.
