Hahahaha, what a question! For some reason the line "I know dogs like beer" has tickled me!

The thing that was on the radio must have been a joke because alchohol will certainly not make a parrot sing a lot or live longer.
Alchohol would kill a bird if it drank some, or at the very least make it very sick.
Dogs can't have alchohol either. You can get "beer for dogs" which isn't actually alchohol, it's safe for dogs and more a novelty if the owner wants their pet to "drink" with them.
When our next door neighbour was looking after our dog, he thought it would be funny to give her some beer. She was vomiting, seeing double, frantically burying her face into the ground and crying. It could have killed her.
Alchohol isn't suitable for any pet. It's not good for humans either. :P

Parrots should absolutely never be given any alcohol, anyone who is giving it to their parrot to make it sing better is just shortening the poor things life to nothing. As for liking it, a lot of animals do, none should drink it, but apparently pigs are able to handle it better (bodily, not intoxicatedly) Their livers are similar in durablitlity to humans, and some moonshiners still use pigs to eat the corn after they are done fermenting it, it is still alcohol, but it is corn mash, it is so nasty lookiing, but pigs absolutely go nuts over it. I would not give pigs beer though, their livers are destryed by it just like humans's are, they just take longer than some animals to have adverse affects on their health from it. Moonshiners pigs may only live 3 years, where as a normal pet pig could live longer than 13 years.

Uhm, I wouldn't try if I were you. Some animals have a very sensitive immunce system and can react very badly to stuff like that... I don't think that parrots chugging down smirnoff will make them live longer.

No however the lady I have been given our oldest cat claimed that she many times blew marijuana smoke in her face (she became approximately 3 months once I have been given her) i do no longer understand if that became a foul attempt of humor if she became a gadget adequate to incredibly do this. i did no longer incredibly understand her yet she had super drug issues. The cat has her 10th birthday this June and looks fantastic!

I'm sure a lot of animals would like it if given to them, however it's not good for any animal to consume alcohol. A little bit by accident won't kill them, but too much can kill some animals.

Why would you want to give alcohol to your pet? It's not healthy for humans so what makes you think it will be healthy for animals?
