Im housing 3 green spotted puffers and 10 bumble bee gobies.

I used sea salt with mine and it worked just fine. Regular aquarium salt won't buffer the water.

I'd watch out for any agression between the puffers and the gobies...they are small enough to fit into the puffers' mouth.

And, now that I'm at it, I hope you have a big enough tank. I'd say 75 gallons should be enough for all these fish by the time they're full grown.

Since both of these fish require higher pH, then I'd recommend sea salt (the marine types found in pet stores) since it will buffer the pH to the desired level. However, aquarium salt would work, but you'd need another source to buffer the pH.
