I don't think he;s afraid to have sex. Unless you offered and he suggested fingering instead. He may not be afraid of sex, just of getting you pregnant.
Guys will do fingering if you're on your period and don't want to put their penis there. Or if you won't let them have sex, it's a way to have some naughty good fun with you naked body.

There is always the fear of getting a sexually transmitted disease. How sexually active is your new partner? How often and how many? Symptoms of some diseases do not show up right away and sometimes they do not show up at all. Maybe taking it slow and easy is the best route until you are comfortable with the answers to some of these questions. Some diseases are troublesome but treatable. When AIDS came along, it was something that could kill you. Now, if it does not kill you, it can drastically effect your health and your pocketbook.

we dont think fingering bad if girl likes it i would give it her too but at first i think a guy is afraid that if he will put penis then the girl will be hurt and if she hurts she will not allow sex next time. so a few times he first trains you to accpet finger then the penis
