if people are wearing cocktail dresses and heels, no.
maybe get a nice top from express or something with a cute pair of flats with jeans. you'll still look cute but you'll be comfortable and this way you won't be too dressed up or down.

Even the very fashion-conscious Stacey London of "What Not To Wear," told viewers recently that the trend of not wearing white SHOES at some time of year, was dead. There never was a trend to limit wearing white CLOTHES at any time of year.

I think the whole thing of "not wearing white after Labor day" is over. I think your company is what they are really wanting. You will look fine! Have fun!
