Soviet Union aided egypt in building Answar Dam there to keep Egypt from getting aid from Uk and USA. Egypt wasn't communist and were a very nationalist country during the 1950's and 1960's. Soviet Union also sold arms to middle east countries to contain Israel. Aside from that I can't think of many other nations they allied with.

The Soviet Union aided all kinds of non-communist countries, often for different reasons. At their best, they aided national liberation struggles by colonized people. At their worst, they aided whoever would give them a strategic advantage in the Cold War.
