You must live in China where it's impossible for a cow to jump over the moon. Try moving to Canada where this behavior is quite normal. God bless.

Dark areas on the moon which reflect sun light lesser than other surface looks like cow,deer,or a mans head to different observors. They are called Maria they are dried lava .

If someone has writter about the cow and the moon, its already been done. I'd spend a day at the library going through microfiche and other catalogues of information.
When it was done, I don't really know, but my Dad told me about it. (I'm 62 so start looking prior to 1946) Good Luck in your search.

A cow at that distance is very small, so you wouldn't be able to see it without a telescope (at least a 12" scope).
