For nearly 50 years, most clear nights, I have watched the moon, and still have never seen the cow jump over it. What gives?

I never quite manage to catch it - I'm usually too busy watching my dish run away with my spoon.

You must live in China where it's impossible for a cow to jump over the moon. Try moving to Canada where this behavior is quite normal. God bless.

If someone has writter about the cow and the moon, its already been done. I'd spend a day at the library going through microfiche and other catalogues of information.
When it was done, I don't really know, but my Dad told me about it. (I'm 62 so start looking prior to 1946) Good Luck in your search.
p.s. if I hear of it being tried again, I'll notify you.

A cow at that distance is very small, so you wouldn't be able to see it without a telescope (at least a 12" scope).
