I give thumbs up to good answers. If the answers are just to get points, or are rude, then no. I'm a bit like Hannibal Lecter - I believe its appropriate to be polite, even if you disagree on something.

I Thumb Up almost All answers I get whether I agree with them or not. I just don't if the answer is Stupid or Rude.

No, why would anyone do that? I give thumbs up to good answers, none to average or "meh" answers, and thumbs down to idiots and morons. And I always award a Best Answer as well.

Only my contacts, or if I really liked their answer. Also, if I answer a question I go through and give thumbs up to all my contacts. I think I'm too nice sometimes. Lol

FYI, I reserve my thumbs down for truly heinous answers (racism, name calling), which thankfully I have never gotten on my own Q's.
