I mean really. In the U.S. we are all American citizens so why don't childern have the same constitutional rights as adults?
I'm not saying voting or anything, just the freedom of speech and privacy.

Ok, personally not all kids are immature. When I say freedom of speech, no I don't mean yelling something stupid. I mean standing up fro what you believe in. No one listens to kids and thats why they do stupid stuff.

Some think that kids aren't experienced enough in the world to make smart decisions, which I certainly strongly disagree with.

Sounds like everyone thinks kids are stupid, immature brats. Not at all true! Kids are full of good knowledge, it just can't be used because it doesn't favor the person in power. Privacy I can understand. I would not trust kids all alone for a long period of time. Who knows what they could be doing?
However, speech is something no one has these days. I can't speak my ideas because they would no doubt offend millions of people, who would then call for my death. No one really has rights anymore, just an illusion that they can do what they want.

I know, right?!?! We can't do anything! I could have been born in Serbia and have more rights as an illigal immigrant than a child born in America. And what I really don't get is why we have to go to school. I mean when we go there we are harrased by teachers and other students and we don't even have the same amount of rights as we do out of school! They force upon us lockers, books, etc. and if we loose them we have to pay. The lockers can be examined without a warrent or probable cause only because they are the schools. However, the students must have them! We are also FORCED to sign a stupid contract that we don't even have time to read before school starts!

Parents and legal guardians are, by law, required to ensure the safety and well-being of children, and provide the basic needs required for them to thrive. Giving a child the privacy any adult would be afforded would work contrary to the law's requirement of all legal guardians. Some children may think they are capable of the personal responsibility that comes with the loss of a parental safety net, but any assertion of such only serves to prove they couldn't be further from the truth.

can't wait for all the kids who have answered to actually become adults- and I don't mean just 18 yrs old either. I mean REAL grown up adults- and remember when they answered this question. You'll think it was SO funny that you ever thought that kids should have the rights (and priveleges) that an adult has! Kids don't have the life experience or the knowledge and maturity to be given these rights. Sorry, but you'll understand when you're older- much older!

I guess humans like to control the behavior of others and children are easy customers for this as we can say it's for their own good.
