This is my first month ttc and today is the only day we can bd. We're really not trying this month, just tracking my cycle, but I should be ovulating tomorrow and my cm is a little creamy but stretchy. I know it's hard to conceive on the first try but I'd really like a BFP for Christmas! Any one else trying today? Good luck to everyone and please send some baby dust!!!

I've been trying for 4years and now I'm on clomid this was my 3round of clomid but 1st round of 100mg hope it works I'm also using Mucinex this cycle cause it's suppose to help thin out your cervical mucus and I'm in my fertile period right now but I won't ovulate til couple more days Hope we both get Big fat positive tests soon! Truck loads of baby dust headed your way!

Best of luck ttc!!!!!!! You are right it does take most couples a year to conceive their first. So don't give up and get stressed if it doesn't happen right away. You have about a 25% chance of conceiving each month with well timed intercourse. Make sure to have sex starting about 4-5 days before you expect to ovulate and sex every other day until 2-3 days after you believe you ovulated. You must have sperm waiting on the egg when it is released because the egg will only live 12-24 hours but sperm will live 3 days. So as you can see if you only have sex the day you believe you ovulate you may have a really slim chance of catching the egg. Also my doctor recommended the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and it is really good and informative. I am on cd 11 today and possibly ovulating or close to ovulation so we are ttc in the same time frame. Again best wishes and try not to stress. They believe stress maybe the number one temporary cause of fertility issues in couples today.

I got pregnant after being off the pill a week and a half (the week of my period and the week after when I was fertile). I was told it could take 3 months to a year and that the body is unpredictable especially if you were on birth control for a while. It was on it for 8 years and conceived right away.

I bd just about every day... :) i like to do the dance, and am taking no chance in missing that elusive egg! I agree how fun would it be to find out you were preg. before christmas!! what a thrill.
