Please help? I don't understand why the movie would earn such a title, what's the meaning behind it.

The river is the anchor on which the story is based. Throughout the lives of the characters in the story, the river was there. It illustrated male bonding, recklessness, fun, and every other aspect of their lives. Just as it ran through the land, it ran through their lives until the end.

The river is the presence of God realized in our stream of consciousness. If the stream is purely set on him and not the pollution of this world we find peace and life. This river is available to all who will listen and be still. Revelation 22:1-2

Kind of the idea that like the river runs through the plot of the movie, relationships & time run constantly through our lives.

I understand part of it, we have basically only two choices in life, to act out of love or fear. Also what you fear you attract into your arena. Love is always the greatest choice. As far as the whole secret to existence, I doubt that, there are many great truths and words of wisdom. I would not reject help, if no one accepts help then who could we help?
