I need help creating a record studio in by basement
i know you need a computer, but what software, like i wana know every little thing i need, mixer, mic and everything
somthing like so i can connect the mixer to my pc and i can change the sound and the beats and everything
also suggest what the best ones to buy are,
by budget is around 3000

I recommend starting with:
*an apple (PC would work too, I and everyone else just prefers MACS) computer or laptop with a dual core at least 2 gigahertz, and at least 1 gigabite of RAM memory, and at least 2 firewire connections
*get an external hard drive with firewire connection at least 250 gigabites
*powered monitors (Fostex, MAudio, Yamaha, JBL), saves you from having to buy an external AMP.
*audio recording interface (I recommend a digi 002 or digi 003) it is an interface to send the audio to the computer with a built in mixer, and built in midi interface.
*pro tools recording software, it would usually come free with the digi 002.
*audio cables, mic cables and midi cables if you are going to do sequences
*keyboards (rolands, korgs, yamahas)
*condenser microphones (MXL's, Shures, AKG, Neumann)
*drum machines or samplers such as Akai MPC's or Boss Dr.
Those are the basic needs for a small basement/room recording studio.

i'm uncertain the style you're predicted to respond to this? i might decide for kit based as 'kit' can recommend something acoustic or electric powered, ie acoustic guitar, real drums, digital keyboard, desktops, etc; while laptop based, you're constrained to digital gadgets. -------------------- i might have an kit based studio as then i does no longer be constrained to digital gadgets as i could be in a working laptop or laptop based studio. In my kit based studio i might have a working laptop or laptop working music composing application, acoustic drums, acoustic guitars, electric powered guitars, electric powered bass, electric powered violins, acoustic violins,,, blah blah,,, regulate gadgets finding on style of music you prefer to create...
