He did apologize. The question is shouldnt Bret put it behind him??? How many people have left a wrestling promotion with the title belt?.Flair had the NWA belt because he wasnt given back his deposit (go read about the old system) and thus the belt was his NOT WCWs but beyond that who????
Bret was crazy for thinking Vince would allow that to happen. Bret is a loner who never enjoyed hanging with the boys so what incentive does he have for coming back?

no i dont believe that Shawn Michaels need to apologize to Bret Hart for the Montreal Screwjob. i think Vince McMachon should apologize to Bret Hart for setting that up. He is the one who told the ref to ring the bell and end the match without Bret tap out cause he never did tap out.

Shawn did apologize but Bret didn't accept it. But NO I don't think Shawn should have apologized. All he did was what he was told to do. If your boss tells you to do something, you do it right? Of course you do what your boss says you have to do. You wouldn't have a job if you told him no.
I am a fan of Bret and I always will be. But I think he was wrong in the first place for refusing to lose the belt. You just don't do things in wrstling the way he wanted to do it. If you leave a place you lose any belts you have before you leave. Thats just the way it works. So he is the one that needs to get over it.

Shawn has apologized. Bret's been bitter for years....hates everyone who outshines him. Let Bret be VP of the "Wrestling Made Me Rich but I'm Bitter" Club....with Sammartino as President.

shawn didnt screw bret, vince screwed bert. before the match they were both told that shawn would put bret in the sharpshooter and bret would get out and use the super kick to win. and the next night, bret would hand over the title.

Shawn has apologyzed, but Bret wants nothing to do with him, and should he try agian? NO!!! Shawn did what was he was told and what was best for the company. Bret was supposed to lose the title, and he refused, Shawn is the one who did the right thing. Bret was being released anyway and he wanted to walk away with some dignity, but he can't walk away with dignity, because he was leaving the WWF, not because he had to, if he would have stayed none of that would have happened, because Bret brought it upon himself, he could have agreed but he had to make things difficult, so Vince, Shawn and the other superstars did what they had to do!
- a loyal HBK fan
NOTE: if anything Hart should apologyze to the whole WWF
