It is not a train but an articulated bus called the Silver Line which goes into its own subway. Very quick and simple.

You can also take the free airport shuttle bus to the Blue Line Airport station and thence the Blue Line into town.

I've been to Logan Airport alot and there's no train, but the T does have the Silver Line bus, which I'm pretty sure takes you to South Station, in Boston. You'll just have to look for the one that says South Station.

At every terminal at Logan Airport there is a bus run by the MBTA called the Silver Line that goes directly to South Station.

Hi there--
There is no train that runs between Logan (BOS) and South Station. There might be a shuttle bus, but I am not sure. A taxi would be the best option to get to south station.

Try going to either Logan's website or to QuickAid.com [which has info about airports all over the US]. Check under "Ground Transportation".

You could also check the website of Boston's mass transit system.

You have a good week, too!!

Forget mapquest and the distance, you're going to have to go by rapid transit. The trip takes 20 minutes, but allow an hour for extra things that crop up such as baggage claim, traffic jams, etc. Why not take Amtrak? The train is much cleaner, quieter, and more comfortable, especially for a longer trip like going to NYC.
