Greece is beautiful. I am half Greek and have great memories of going there when I was young. There are a lot of tourists but with so many little islands, you don't see so many. The history is amazing and there are not so many places in the world to see 5000 year old artifacts like in Greece. The food is great and the wine is cheap. I love the lifestyle- waking up at 10:am to work or relax until 3:pm(everything closes then), hit the beach and go to a cafe until the rest time ends(6:pm), relax some more, get ready for dinner around 10:pm, hit a club or walk on the beach after. Who wouldn't want to do that?

You will read a lot of reasons & opinions, but then again, the main reason is you putting up this question.. either you are convinced Greece is lovable .. or you fail to see reasons to see the reasons.. not the number of words is important for me to describe.. so many trips yearly since 1992; what I have seen and the memories I keep, are less important compared to the day by day impressions with Greek people I have encountered all of this years...

nicely, interior the previous i became quite prepared on Italy, Swiss and France, yet with the time long previous by way of, i began out encompassing Greece into my ideas;even f the the remainder of Europe is not extra high priced than Greece, i began out feeling a solid affection for that piece of Land status in S.E. of Europe, constantly resisting modifications and time afflictions over it! definite, you're truthfully splendid on your strains approximately how human beings stay there, and all human beings might desire to--a minimum of as quickly as--bypass to its Islands and revel interior the sparkling waters and the awsome nutrition! have you ever been to Syros Island???? If no longer, attempt it next time!!! Ciao...John-John.-

Greece is a land that gave birth to art, theatre, science, mathematics, democracy, philosophy and language. It is also a beautiful place, where the greatest civilisations left their mark with their monuments. It has amazing beaches and landscapes, and picturesque villages. The food is great, the climate is friendly, so basically it is an ideal place. Why wouldn't anyone love it?

Why do I love Greece? Let me count the ways. ( I hope Emily Dickinson will forgive me where ever she is)
Actually the "ways" cannot be counted. Ask anyone with reasonable sensitivities and they will have their own reasons.
And do read Henry Miller's "The Colossus of Maroussi".

I love Greece because its so cool to think that like hundreds of years ago this was a main center of the world. And because the waters are so pretty especialy where the houses are really white. Like in sisterhood of the traveling pants

I have never been to Greece but it must be a really special place as my mother moved there 4 months ago after going there twice a year for the past 10 years, she was really upset at leaving us behind as will really miss her grandchildren (my kids) but we encouraged her to follow her dream, take early retirement and go as you only live once after all.

It is kind of like the cradle of human history. I have been to greece and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It is one of the few places that have maintained it ancient, old fashioned way of life, while still keeping up with the rest of the world.
a few other reasons.
Food
Scenery
The med ocean
The beautiful weather
