I'm in the UK and I want to travel. I would like to start in the Netherlands. My only skill is fixing/building PC's (no qualifications) but I'm willing to do anything.

Any ideas how to get the ball rolling? Good places to look?

Where are you planning on going in the Netherlands? If you stay in the Amsterdam region, you won't really need to learn Dutch, but you will if you decide to move outside of that area.

Also, you cannot just waltz into the Netherlands without proper qualifications on paper and expect to land a job. You must have proper qualifications that can be checked and compared against what is provided by Dutch colleges. The Dutch are very particular about this.

Easy to get work in one of the Irish pubs over there (I believe there are 11 in Amsterdam alone, and more in other cities throughout the country), but the hours are long and late and the work is hard.

Work in Burger King, I am sure building a Whopper is the same everywhere. I bet you'd look great in that little hat.

learn the language, build up a CV in that language and just try the basic things like shops, cafes etc.

I know this may sound silly but if you check,
Tommorows paper (Daily Star) check the information section.

Thanks :)
Lots of what you're looking for is there.
Best of luck my friend.

I know there's probably a shortage of bricklayers in Poland right now.
