I fought this battle most nobly with my insurance company who said that after two years they were no longer going to pay for my oxygen supplies. My argument was that if they did not pay I would inform my company (I'm retired) and they could possibly lose up to 100,000 people from their insurance program and "wouldn't that cut into your profits"? After they assured me that they could probably work something out, I called my company and they told me that I would not have to worry any further and that they had dealt with the situation for me! I feel SOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo good! CJ

Most of my battles are for other people. I can not abide someone going after a person who is unable to defend or fend for themselves!!! This has caused a lot of battles for me throughout my life. For some reason I'm always the last person on my list... I seem to be able to just set my problems aside when someone needs me in this way!
I dislike battles at all, but, I've been told it is not good to go up against me!

I guess it would have to be working through this darned Physical Therapy and the exercises here at home since my total knee replacement two months ago. Honestly, it's been, and still is, a real battle. I don't mean to be redundant but I even have a stretching machine they have over here in front of my TV in the living room to pull and stretch my knee. It still doesn't bend to the degree that they want. (me too) Thank goodness I don't limp though. I said the other day I often have tears but keep plowing on. I used to be 5 ' 2" and now they've
stretched me to 5' 9". OK,I'll stop.

My battle is everyday and night with the demons of my life who try to take my heart and soul. I may win or lose a battle , but I know when the time comes, I will when the war.

My last battle was brief, and bloody....do you need logistics? I knocked heads, with a round house....what exactly do you need? A bleeding rag? I'm 5 foot 6 with a wicked roundhouse, and and thankfully a cocky BPD Patrol. I was serving drinks, during a Friday night, and this rookie came from no-where. I spun around before I knew the police was in the house.I kicked the hombere into submission. I am good at what I do. I hit him, he hit the floor.

I usually take on battles for the downtrodden and needy, the elderly and people who have been hurt.
And you win some, and loose some. Basically, in battles no one wins, I avoid any personal battles like the plague.

The successful termination of a management team who had for 14 years embezzled, loudly chastised residents, taken unauthorized privileges showing apartments to potential residents when occupants were on vacation, and intimidated residents into inaction when heating malfunctions spewed steam and ruined their belongings. With a fellow resident who had retired from property management and fostered the lives of over a dozen children in her youth, we worked quietly by mail and phone until it saw reward.

I can see this has helped make a big difference in the battle at least. A neighbor and I have taken in several stray cats and had them all altered so they are not out there reproducing again and again.
