An analogy to that quote by Churchill where he identifies only two choices in the world: brainless or heartless. Are you one or the other?

I'm middle aged and liberal. Certainly not brainless.

I know that Churchill never said that. It's too stupid a thing for someone as smart as Churchill to have said. Not to mention the fact that Churchill was a conservative at age 15 and joined the Liberal Party at age 35.

51 thinking and independent, Churchill where he identifies only two choices in the world: brainless or heartless. Are you one or the other? there is where Churchill failed when he fail to consider other possibilities. I was young and conservative, but as I got older I got wiser, better educated and less conservative, I detest rhetoric, only want to deal in facts not rhetoric or slogans, I don't vote slogans or rhetoric. I vote actions and facts.

rather some college scholars tend to lean to the left by way of fact they're in a very liberal ecosystem with their professors, considering that maximum educators tend to be liberal. while they get out into the actual worldwide, they start settling down and shifting their political ideals around. consequently, "Liberal mutually as youthful, conservative older" by way of fact the time while maximum folk grow to be Conservative is while they have been out interior the actual worldwide for a quick time.

I'm a middle aged conservative with a heart ruled by common sense. I have never been a liberal with the exception of a few social issues.

Middle aged (42) and liberal.

I grew more liberal as I got older, particularly on economic issues. (And please research what that really means and not what Faux Snooze, et al tell you what it means).

BTW, there's no record of Winston Churchill having actually said that. He did switch to being a liberal after his youth and back to the conservatives even later than that, but it had a lot more to do with political expediency in his career than with any position on social issues in the UK.

I'm young and I've been very conservative for a long time. I really hate how today's liberals are bringing communism and fascism into the country little by little. I also hate how all these evil liberals are socialists, very corrupt, anti-patriot, driven by popularity, the media is their bible, immature, liars, and criminals.

I'm middle aged, and progressive (left of liberal).

Churchill was actually talking about Marxists, not liberals.

But whoever he was talking about, I always thought the quote was hooey.

Some people have both brains AND hearts.

There is nothing brainless about having a heart and compassion....and I mean NOTHING!!!!!! By the way, the Dalai Lama is neither brainless nor heartless, and he is about as liberal as a person can get. *sm*
