My bf and i are 18. he's still in high school (this is his last year),and we are living with his mother. well to make a long story short, we are tired of the drama going on with his mother so we think its time to move out before anything really horible happens. but see i work at the same place as her working full time but i work night shift and she works day but like today we worked togather. but we don't have a car yet and we are paying her $400 a month plus next week well be paying off our t.v and after that we have to pay $48 a week for a bed set my bf got and a least $20 a month for my bf's credit card. and my bf works at a store part time right now and he's going full time in june. but we are in shippensburg,pa and the average cost of rent is $600 a month and all i can think of is welfare and foodstamps to help if they'll approve us. my bf wants to save $400 so he can get me and engagment ring but i told him not right now we need out of here asap. but, do u have any advise?

I can't get why both of you live together when you guys are not ready for such responsability.
I think both of you should get back to their homes and not thinking about living by people taxes!!!

Food stamps may be able to help you. However, if he is still in high school, he needs to stay where he is at until June. Welfare is funded by TANF (temporary aid for needy families), and, you need to have children to qualify. You are correct in saving up- don't worry about your ring. What if you set a date for moving out- like June 15 (when he is out of high school) and figure out a budget for what you will need to leave (rent, security deposit, average utility bill, groceries), then, divide that by 6 months. Put that amount of money each month into a savings account. It can be fun to plan this out. Also, you shouldn't buy things on payment plans. You can buy from rummage sales, or anywhere else, but, rent-to-own ends up costing so much more than anything else.

Perhaps if you moved in with another room mate (and you each paid $200) it would be a lot easier for you. Good luck!

Forget about the welfare. You probably won't be able to get it and I think each of you need to see how you are going to make it on your own. How about looking for another place to work so you can avoid running into your mom? You should plan moving out on your own. Set aside money to do this. Work on gaining skills to get other jobs. You can do this. You don't want to just be making it. That is a difficult life and I wouldn't recommend it. Lots of luck.

there is not any might desire to experience embarrassed, it incredibly is there for cases whilst human beings choose help and it seems such as you're in choose splendid now. There are people who take benefit and assemble welfare whilst they sit down on their butts all day yet it is honestly no longer what you're finding for. there is not any might desire to pay it returned till you amassed it illegally, which it would not sound such as you're attempting to do. in simple terms ensure you provide them precise info and bypass from there. I had my son whilst i became 15 years previous and so my mom utilized for nutrition stamps whilst i became pregnant to assist because of the fact I wasn't the right age to artwork and he or she became making barely adequate to assist herself. (sturdy reason to no longer have a baby so youthful!) We have been given a small volume of nutrition stamps a month and it helped surprisingly. as quickly as my son became approximately 5 months previous i became in a position to get a job so we did no longer choose it anymore, inspite of the undeniable fact that it became lots liked whilst we've been in a position to qualify. sturdy success and congrats on the little one!
