Blame my sons maths teacher for the question,ive never heard of unequal halves either???

Depends on the size of the smallest particle.

It can be split only once into equal halves. Any further splits would result in pieces that are smaller than halves.

Halves are equal by definition. So halves can never be unequal.

I don't think you can have an unequal half!

In theory it could be done an infinite number of times, but in reality it would depend on the material from which the cubes were made

Yep, answer one says it all, except I wouldn't of managed the unequal haves bit being wrong, so the answerer's cleverer than me!
