I mean I know he is conservative, but he entered the race fairly late, he really has not spoken that much publicly and has not had so much publicity and no one really knows that much about him. Do you support him only because you do not like any of the other Republican candidates and he is your last hope?

Wasn't Fred Thompson on Law & Order? He seems to have a dead personality to me.

I guess you don't watch to much TV. Fred has spoken. Saw him in a Interview a few days ago. He has a plan and has it laid out. I was impressed for once. He didn't start late. When will Liberals stop putting times on issues. I am not sure if I support him yet. But after the other day hearing the interview. I might think about him more.

Actually if you have been following everything he has been speaking publicly. I don't know if I support him, but, of all the candidates as of right now, he is the one that I would throw my support behind if I was forced to make a choice at this very moment. He has spoken at the debates, and also on many radio programs and there is also his record in office.

He actually didn't enter the race late, he entered it on the normal timeline...everyone else got started very, very early...largely due to the democrats...as the Democrats needed to raise a lot of money for this up-coming Presidential Election. I think a lot of people are behind him simply because he came in late...he looks more like the new face, as we are all getting kinda tired of the others.
Irregardless though, I do not support him.

I like Fred Thompson because of what he stands for. Do I think he is the best candidate, probably not, but I';; tell you what I tell my kids. You need to choose someone who's beliefs and stand on issues match yours the closest. No candidate is going to save the world or change everything they or I would want changed so its important to pick one with similar moral standards and who is closest to your opinions on the things that matter most (illegal immigrants for example) Wouldn't it be nice, rather than the fighting among the politician for King of the Hill, that they would actually pull together and remember how great this country is and what we stood for 200 or so years ago

I don't.

I live in Iowa. Here in Iowa, we have a process. Part of that process is coming to the Straw Poll.
He didn't come. Rudy didn't come. McCain didn't come.

I have news for these candidates. While I may not have been voting as long as many other Republicans have as I have only been a voter since 1990. Every election in Iowa, except for local ones. Since I got out of the service in 1999, I have voted in every election, including locals ones, except for the most recent school board elections. In all of those elections, I have never voted for Thompson, Rudy, or McCain. And I don't feel like I have been cheated as a voter. I am USED to voting for someone not named any of those 3. If they don't want my vote enough to come out to Ames and give a speech, do a meet and greet, and just talk to Iowa voters, than that's just fine with me. I can vote for someone else, just like I have always done.

Duncan Hunter has my vote for the caucus. After his group is deemed not viable because he doesn't meet the 15%, then it's on to Huckabee, who impressed me at the straw poll.

I don't care if you think I am bitter. We have a process here in Iowa, and if they don't want to play our reindeer games, than he doesn't get my vote.

isn't he the actor? his TV and movie exposure would help him a lot. and in the roles he plays, he usually is a good guy, either a policeman or a lawyer, something "respectable"... elections are still next year, a lot can still happen... i am actually a conservative kind of person and i like fred thompson.

Neo-cons to include Fox News hailed him as the GOP's great last hope. Now that he has shown himself to be a tired old man that does not have a real grasp of global events over the past decade, he needs to go back to Hollywierd and have an Apple Martini.

No,

I support him because he is the only one with "written" plans on what he will do. No other candidate has anything written formally what they would do, other than talk!
