My question is do you eat healthy and exercise? If that weight is from working out, then no, not bad, muscle weighs more than fat.
If you are overweight because of lack of exercise and wrong eating, I strongly suggest you change your habits now or you will be sorry by the time you are in your 20's. It is easier for teens to take off weight than adults.
Start now to exercise daily; long walk at a good pace, bike, hike, etc. Eat healthy; no junk foods, no sodas, no sugary foods, no fried foods. Drink lots of water, eat veggies, fruit and lean meats only.
What you start today will help you to look better, but more importantly be healthier later in life. Start today!

it's not that bad, you're tall, so it doesn't show as much as it would if you were a foot smaller, because i'm 5'4 1/2 at 12 and i weigh in at 145, i became a vegitarian, and it has worked out really well for me. If you do become a vegitarian, just make sure to keep away from junk food. Also, if you are really worroed about your weight heathwise, just talk to your physician about it, and they can help you, too. I hope i helped!!

thats kinda bad but if you exercise regularly, drink lots of water and eat healthy you will be at the right weight..... Teenagers around the age of 15-16 and that are 5'9"-5'10" should be around 148- 158 but thats just me i read it in a medical book..... but if your not sure what the right weight is ask your doctor he/she will have the correct answer for you.

im like exactly the same as you except -50 pounds and I am in shape, so ur decently bad, but its a real easy turn around. If you just start exercising more when the weather gets better I bet you'll be fine by this time next year.

I would recommend you to lose weight because a overweight/obese could pose a great risk of cardiovascular risk in future. So in term of health, it's a risk factor.
I would say your ideal body weight is probably around 140lb-160lb
