i'me building my own PC and i've been toled that the pricxes will drop in january sales. i need to know how much the prices will drop.
i'm getting a Q6600, right know it's about £175, how much do you think it's gana be in the sales?
i know that the new Intel CPU is coming out soon, i need to know when and how much their going to be?

Just wait until January and buy your Q6600 at the best price you can. The prices are driven by demand and are unpredictable, but it is a fair bet demand is down after the Christmas rush so prices are down too.

Buying computer gear is ALWAYS a 'wished I'd waited' situation. Whatever you buy is cheaper in 3 months. But you want it before then, pay the premium and get the joy. I bought a 22" monitor 3 months ago, now $70 cheaper, but I wanted it then and have no regrets.

Hi. The pound value is not possible to predict, but the prices WILL drop if that is important.

new top of the line intels .. 1000$+ ... older hardware always gets cheaper for awhile but really its not dependent on the time of year on electronics and computer sales ..

generally it's system not component prices that drop in the january sales. i wouldn't pay £175 though:
