Hi,

For this question, we are trying to find out the corresponding f (x) value when x = 2 in the function of f(x) = 2x - 11.

Therefore, when x = 2 we have:

f ( 2 ) = 2 ( 2 ) - 11

Next, simplify the above equation to get:

f ( 2 ) = 4 - 11

FINAL ANSWER: f ( 2 ) = -7

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,

Andrew

Substitue 2 for x in the equation.
F(2)= 2(2)-11
= 4-11
= -7

You're just plugging in 2 into the equation where ever there is an x.

So if f(x)=2x-11
f(2)=2(2)-11
Then just multiply and solve.
2*2=4
4-11=-7

So the answer is f(2)=-7
