Hi CitrusPrincess!
My mom is a party planner. She knows everything about parties (obviously :) she says that two weeks before the party is a great time to mail the invitation. When you mail it out a month before, it seems like you are trying to get people to go to your party before any other party.
So, as a final decision, I would say two weeks is good.
Hope this helps and happy holidays!

Depending on the party. Is it like a sweet 16 or a 50th birthday then yeah, I would. But if it was just a small thing, with few events, and less than 15 people then I would wait about 2 weeks before.

Nope, gives the people plenty of time to make sure that they can make it too your Party. No booked appointment books, and better chance of finding a great gift and something awesome to where to your Party.
Good Planning!

not as long as you send out some "save the date's" too, to remind people. Especially if you're going to have a fairly large party

It might be just a little too early, but if your birthday is during the holiday season, it may have been a good idea.

Nope. It gives people plenty of time to know they have the option. Some people might have a really busy schedule and if you send it in time, they could make room to attend.
