I think they need pitching badly. Who would you give up for a quality starter and 2 bullpen pitchers? What FA's to you attack and how much do you offer?

Get some good starters, and leave the bullpen alone. The Bullpen will work it self out once they only have to pitch in the 7,8, and 9th inning instead of the 3rd+ innings. It killed the White Sox and the staff, because Ozzie Guillen always needed to pull out and put in and get a Set-up man in the game for 3 innings. It made a lot of people angry and it needs to stop.

They are also losing power. The only players on that team that can hit more than 20 a year are Paul Konerko, Jim Thome, and Jermaine Dye. If they could get some .300, 20 homerun, 80 rbi, hitters, then they'd be in good shape.

They have plenty of money to work with and they could grab some guys if they would realize they need it desperately. These guys just won a World Series 2 years ago, and it looks like they haven't won one since 1910. It's starting to anger a lot of White Sox fan because they weren't even close to being contenders in the 2007 season. They need to at least win 90 games next year to be in the Playoff picture.

Obviously, if I'm the GM you have fixed the biggest problem that the White Sox have by getting rid of that moron Ken Williams. The next move, and I hate to say it, is to replace Ozzie as manager. Ozzie is due for either a break or just a change, just like Joe Torre.

Pick up Aaron Rowand for the outfield, Aaron Heilman for your bullpen, either Dan Haren or Erik Bedard as a starter, and possibly Miguel Tejada to mentor the younger players and possibly see some platoon time at SS and time as a DH.

First off I extend Jenks. Then I sign Aaron Rowand for 45mil. I trade Crede, Uribe and 2 prospects for Miguel Tejada and Erik Bedard. Finally I sign Luis Vizciano from the Yankees andLaRoy Hawkins from Colorado. Plsu I could sign Eric Hinske as a versaitle utility player. Granted this will take work and won't happen presto chango and it would be a challenge to get these guys but if I could I would look at the results

CF Jerry Owens
SS Orlando Cabrera
DH Jim Thome
1B Paul Konerko
RF Jermaine Dye
LF Aaron Rowand
3B Miguel Tejada
C AJ Pierzinski
2B Danny Richar

I have a ton of power and young guys like Owens and Richar.

Rotation
Erik Bedard
Mark Buehrle
Javier Vazquez
Jose Contreras
John Danks

Bullpen has Jensk closing and Linebrank setting up. Plus Vizciano and Hawkins as 7th inning guys

Plus Guillen as a top manager

I dont know much about the white sox, but I know if I was the owner the first I would do is fire Kenny Willimas and Ozzie Guillen.

That would be a great start.

Of course (as a Tiger fan) I am liking the white sox not being good.

throw ozzie overboard first then go after fransisco cordero as a set up person for jenks and try adam dunn out at first base also add a decent fast outfielder (corey patterson) and grab haren from the A's-- he won't produce like last year but he is still a good pitcher

Disband them, is it really worth having two baseball teams for Chicago, so we know that both teams can't be good in the same year, where they might both suck during a season, or one of the 2 teams are good, but never both in the same season.
