Have you ever had to wear safety goggles when cleaning a cat box?

I have two possible responses to that question...besides lol...

1. What have you been feeding that poor cat?

2. When was last time you cleaned the cat box?

It's the ammonia from the cat pee. I haven't had to wear goggles but I practice my deep sea diving when I tip out the boxes sometimes. Baking soda helps but only so much.
I'd like to know if cat pee and kitty litter are the strongest substence known to man. I've been tempted to get a jack hammer to get the last bits out of the bottom.

Safety goggles my dear?? Must be bad, no never always had outside cats... I would think that a resperator might be more in order....lol..

No, my kitties poo smells like perfume. Actually, I have them trained to go outside 99% of the time . I do have 2 boxes in the house, but seldom have to clean them. Good Kitties!

My dogs love to eat out of the kitty litter box and then give me a big kiss. We keep the box in the garage now.

I wore a med mask, because I was pregnant and the smell of the cat box was really getting to me and I was nesting and you aren't supposed to mess with kitty litter when you're pregnant...

I guess you have what is commonly known as a mutant kat. Good luck. Do you use a 4 foot prong when cleaning it as well a lead apron?

It depends on how long since its litter box has been emptied.

Those things can turn into a weapon of mass destruction after awhile.

Toxic poop! That's the only thing I don't miss about having a cat.
