Insects are a critical part of the ecosystem. Bees and many other insects pollinate flowering plants. Without pollination, the plants would not be able to reproduce. Insects play a big role in food chain, lots of higher animals eat insects. That is just a couple of examples. I hope this helps.

Oooh... as a future entomologist, I'd say they are VERY good... They provide a very important part in the ecosystem by helping to pollinate and also by helping to do other things such as speed up decomposition... without insects... The Earth would not be a real great place to live...

Lots of other animals eat insects...birds, frogs, lizards, some small mammals....etc etc.
