well i currently have a 400w power supply and i need more power, due to low power errors. I dont really know too much about power supplies and im actually looking at getting a 500w but i dont know what i have to look for before i buy.
specs:
mobo= PCchips P23G (v.1)
ram= 2x 1024 ddr2
cpu= P4 3.2GHz useing HT
hd= sata 160GB and standard 40GB
drives= toshiba dvdrw (unplugged the other drives due to low power)
gfx card= Nvidia 7600 GS
3 additional fans with lights on case, and a lighting tube (had to unplug recently due to low power)

It depends on what you are using your computer for, and in this case, you need a lot more juice than 400w to power this machine. It seems that you are using your machine for a little bit of gaming, according to the specs. I would recommend going to Newegg.com.
They have all kinds of power supplies that are inexpensive.
I'd suggest at least a 500w power supply, or whatever is better that you can afford. It would probably be best to just go with something more than 500w, like 650 to 800 watts. Whatever it is that you decide on, Newegg will surely have it at a low price.

I recommend getting a power supply from tigerdirect.com the have many on thier site and can pic a 600w power supply up for around 60 bucks. They have great support and 24/7 phone number.
