Cowboy up and accept the fact that people are entitled to their opinions. You serial reporters just crack me up.

I actually feel sorry for people that cannot handle controversy. It must bite to go through life being so thin-skinned.

Goodfolk, there is such a broad interpretation of community guidelines that it is laughable. If you feel offended, you can report. I never bother to appeal. I

Thank you for such a comprehensive answer Justgoodfolk. Quite frankly, this is one of many forums where one can express his/her opinion. Why should I leave if I find the TOS ambiguous? When they are tired of me they will cancel my account. My life will go on. Yahoo Answers offers nothing special.

Yeh well I know you hate me now vegs but don't let them get you down. I have been reported out of existence 4 times. I know this sounds hard to believe but I have never reported anyone. I don't see the point, at all. I am sorry for before I have no excuses other than being a complete prick. Well I have got excuses but who wants to hear them? You are not the most annoying woman in the world.

Yes. But you can disagree within community guidelines. People who choose to knowingly violate rules they agreed to and everyone who posts here did agree to the community guidelines and the TOS, should look at themselves critically and not blame those of us who report.
EDIT I don't report solely when I feel offended and I don't feel offended by this Q. It just doesn't make much sense to me how people can agree to rules they claim to not understand or how you can feel wronged all the time but still continue to participate. In my experience yahoo is fair and balanced. Not all violations have to do with being rude. If I was to answer this question with tomatoes that's a violation too and I'd hope someone would report it. Answers is a concept where certain rules apply. I agreed to those rules, no one forced me so I try to follow them. I can take free speech in a setting where I have the same but call me a name here I'm not gonna take the risk of losing my account by reacting likewise, I will report. Too many good posters lost their account over understandable reactions to the trolls. There is no unlimited free speech here. Trolls expect to loose their account so they don't mind. Too many good people got violations for calling out clones cos it's not an answer and I happen to think that's sad. But at the same time I don't want to join that group. It's yahoos website and I try to play by their rules. If I thought the rules were too repressive I'd go somewhere else

You know I know that!
We don't agree much but I still wish you the best in life.
Sometimes I have to take a break for a couple of days because after awhile it does get a little too personal here for me and I lose perspective.
I can admit that!
I am not a reporter though. Unless it's john b! I have reported him a time or two.

Disagreement is good. Personal attacks are bad. If I attack another poster personally, I expect to be reported. If I'm just giving my view, no matter how intolerable someone else may find it, it's just my view... and I should never be reported for having a point of view.
Mind you, 95% of times I've been reported, it's been for exactly that.
Sad.

Yes, they do but, they don't like it.
Those who report for differences of opinion should have their report buttons taken away indefinitely immediately.
