Ok, i was watching The Real Housewives of Orange county. One of the woman's son has this Canadian girl he met on the internet come to the house to meet him. She was really pretty, and was a pageant winner in canada. They were all obviously suspicious, because the guy had never met her in person. But there was one thing the husband said that pissed me off soo bad.
He was like"The only thing that makes me suspicious is that she has pretty teeth"
Theyre like "why"
He said "Canadian girls all have ugly teeth. They dont take care of them over there."
I got soo mad, like Canada is one of the best countries to live in. Most of us get braces and can afford to goto the dentist. I cant believe that ******* said that!!

The brits dont hate the scots, and there is a reason the scots hate the irish. Havent you read about the ongoing attacks on scotland by the irish way back when? They wanted to extend their border.

All countries have their own stereotypes. I am sure there are things about Americans that Canadians say that is not true. The brits hate the scots and the scots hate the Irish, that is just how it is.

You are correct. Many of us Americans are completely ignorant about Canada and her citizens. But many more are not, thank goodness.
I have been to your country many times and really enjoyed the people and cities I visited. I love the history of your country, especially of the soldiers that fought in kilts during WWI. How cool is that? Your people seem to be warm and generous.
The only reason people like that (the "Housewives") are on TV is because they are not the norm (in general) Everyone wants someone to look down on, so to speak. It is a sad fact of the human condition, I'm afraid.
But fear not! there is hope in the rest of us.

I stay in Detroit, so me and my boys go to Canada all the time to hang out and the teeth on the girls are just as pretty as anywhere else in the world for the record. I mean lets be serious their house wives how exciting can their life be what else would they do but gossip. That should let you know what they think of their viewers.

I think your taking this to the next level. People speak this way behind closed doors so it shouldn't be such a surprise. I'm sure some candaians have their own impression on Americans they say when no one is around. That's just how it is. There's not much you can do to change it so I wouldn't drive myself crazy over this.

I believe you when you say Canada is a great place to live. I have never heard anything bad about Canada (I'm english) and your life must be good if you can get that mad about something so trivial as reality crap TV. Most of us have real issues to deal with.

Shane is pretty much an arrogant butthead. He's said some pretty bad things to other people as well, including his brother, his sister, his mother's friends and he seems to be able to get away with whatever he wants. He needs to get a baseball upside his head.

honey it is not just Canadians. they think because they have so much money they are better than everyone. I wont watch the show because I refuse to contribute to adding money to these selfish inconsiderate peoples pocket. who are they to judge anyone.

Reality shows are just that: semi-real people expressing real emotions and feelings. Maybe that just was his experience, but its just one guy.Don't worry about it, and take the show for what it is
