What did you think? I don't agree with Michael Moore on most issues but ........ damn...... this movie was screwed up. I work in healthcare (radiology) and it was right on the money. I can't argue with any of it.

Rick K, please don't post anymore answers to my questions. You are an idiot. And Rudy's NOT going to win.

I absolutely blew me away! It shows that no matter what approach we take on health care, universal health care or not, something has to be done to change the system we have today because it's simply just unacceptable. To be one of the richest countries in the world gives us no excuse for why we can't guarantee every single American citizen health care. It's a person's right to have it, not a privilege.

I have not seen the film.

Michael Moore destroyed his credibility with conservatives with his mockumentary Fahrenheit 911. I happen to agree with a lot of what Sicko is supposed to be saying. Our health care system is a huge mess, thanks to the greedy insurance companies, and a national heath care plan is now, I believe, inevitable.

But when Moore tells us how wonderful the health care system is in Cuba, there goes any shred of credibility he had left. Ours has problems, sure. But Cuba?

Yeesh!

Vote for Rudy!

Its in basic terms a common paint via numbers horror action picture that somewhat does no longer something to set itself apart from the rest interior the shape. Its unhappy to, by way of fact Kane must be this form of great horror action picture famous guy or woman, yet they ought to offer him greater suited then this in the event that they want him to suceed. the only subject that makes Kane so frightening (as properly his great length and seem) they dont even use interior the action picture and thats him installation after what sounds like some thing that could completely kill the hardship-unfastened guy or woman. That replaced right into a great mistake to no longer do a minimum of as quickly as interior the action picture IMO.

I think "Sicko" is Michael Moore's best movie to date. He managed to stand back and let the "little" people tell the all too sad story.
I'm an American but have lived most of my adult life outside the United States, first in Canada, now in Belgium. Both countries have EXCELLENT health care systems! You're free to choose the doctors you wish, there are NO waiting lists and most medical stuff costs a fraction of what it does in America. (For example, my annual gynecological check-up including ultra-sound and other routine tests -- a "leisurely" 40-minute visit -- was less than $80 TOTAL. I couldn't "see" a doctor. much less have a consultation in the States for that!)

I used to always think that the health care industry was a little on the crooked side (No offense), but I never thought it was THAT bad until I saw the movie.

It's quite frightening to know that you can lose everything due to an injury or illness, because either you couldn't afford insurance, or the insurance company you could afford denied coverage in order to save a few bucks.

No. I refuse to contribute any money to Michael Moore, whom I consider to be a useful idiot of those who hate American.

If I can watch his films in some way so that he doesn't make even the tiniest amount of money, I will. But until then, no way.

I am not a fan of Mr. Moore, and I have not seen the movie. However, I have heard from friends in the healthcare industries ( like you ) that it is VERY accurate.

Oh yeah, I like Dr. Paul as well. True, he is not very articulate, but his positions are right on.

not me.. however you're in health care and you saw the movie and you still say that it was "right on the money"... something wrong with this picture... and your Ron Paul endorsement makes this even more strange... Ron would be totally against government health care.

He may understand that the current system is poorly run, yet his solution to the problem is worse than the system we have now.
