I'm going to assume you mean the quantity of 20 + x divided by x. Otherwise, the statement is false.

(20 + x) / x = 6 / 5

Multiply both sides by x, the denominator on the left side.

20 + x = 6x / 5

Multiply both sides by 5, the denominator on the right side.

5 (20 + x) = 6x

Simplify the left side.

100 + 5x = 6x

Subtract 5x from both sides.

100 = x

So, x = 100.

I'm guessing that you meant

( 20 + x ) / x = 6 / 5

Multiply both sides by 5x

( 5 ) ( 20 + x ) = 6x
100 + 5x = 6x
100 = x

x/x + 20 = 6/5
x/x = 6/5 - 20
x/x = 6/5 - 100/5
x/x = -94/5

that's the question your asking.....
