is that the hr derby? if you get tickets to it, what exactly do you see? what about all star work out day? what do you see there? do the players sign alot of autographs on these days? thanks so much!

For the last ten years or so, the Sunday before the ASG has a standard full slate of major league games, plus the host park has the Futures Game, between two teams of star minor leaguers (usually it has been AL v. NL, but there have also been USA v. Rest Of World teams).

No the home run derby is hosted the day before the all-star game, which is pretty much on a Tuesday, so that the home run derby will be on a Monday. So on Sunday, they mgiht tape softbal games, even where famous people take part in, but really that is it, expect for what ever events that the host city has.
