Depends on the particular food I'm eating, I even use a spoon sometimes. Shhhhhh..... don't tell anyone but I am also guilty of using my fingers to eat. Egads! LOL

That depends on whether the food needs scooping or not. If I've already stabbed it to cut it, I'm probably gonna leave it stabbed for the transport from plate to my mouth. Oppositely, stabbing mashed potatoes delivers only slightly better results than dipping my fork in my wine glass, causing me to scoop.

I do a little of both probably more stabbing though but when I'm getting to the end of the portion, I'll scoop it perhaps pushing it onto my fork with a knife.

Scoop with a spoon, stab with a fork, and cut with a knife or spread.
