hell no, I'm dyslexic thank goodness for spell check but i still cant always get it right if there is quite a selection i just pick one and hope for the best :)

Yep, I'm a really good speller...when I was in primary school we would have a spelling test every Friday for the whole 8 years or whatever.....and I always ALWAYS got 10/10 or 20/20. (not that anyone cared lol) The only time I got one wrong was in 6th class. I wasn't bothering to learn my spellings at this stage and I spelled 'restaurant' wrong. I spelled it restaraunt, cause that's how it's pronounced. lol

Yes very. It was an important part of our education in the 50s. I think a lot of bad spelling is down to laziness.One of us does spelling tests with my grandson every day and don't stop until he gets every one right straight off. Last week we were horrified to discover that a spelling marked correct by his teacher was in fact incorrect. If you can't trust teachers to spell correctly who can you trust ?
