how can one find out what a computer address ie:198.168.0.1 is with out actually going to it?

Norton virus scan says I was just attacked?

Try using IP Address Locator (http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation). In the "IP Address to locate" box, type in the IP address you want to look up.

Are you crazy? anything that starts 192.168 is a private IP. You'd need to determine their public IP, then somehow hack their ISP, to see how their private IP is getting natted to their public IP. It ain't that simple.
