my friend(we'll call her Samantha 4 now) dresses very inappropriately... wearing very very tight tops, low cut tops, short shorts, & very tight jeans(big butt & big breasts so she really stand out to all the guys(who r part of the reason she dresses like that))
How can i tell her she dresses like a scank without hurting her feelings
P.S. I'm 70 pounds lighter than she is & the clothes she wears would b tight on me.

You don't tell her she looks like a skank.
If you 2 go out to the mall or anywhere for that matter, refuse to go unless she wears something a little more appropriate.
Ask her why she dresses the way she does. What is she trying to attract---A Rapist or a Nice Guy?

Well, one day, when she dresses really inappropriately, talk to her. It must not only be uncomfortable to you but many others as well. She must have some kind of indecurity she's ttrying not to think about to dress like that. If you talk to her, you may find out something that has been bothering her. She should understand if she is really your friend.

I used to have a friend that did this. She was kind of heavy ( not obese) and I wore a size zero or two and she would squeeze into my stuff just so she could wear skin tight stuff?? Why not wear your own size, I thought? She also wore THICK dark foundation and lots of blush and lipstick. She got "bad" stares when we went out together (she often confused them with "good" stares) and I was so embarrassed for her.She would have looked fine if she had dressed in her own sizes and wore a lot less make-up. I didn't dare tell her, though. I thought if she was so clueless by the public reactions she got, what could I possibly say? To my wedding she wore a skirt clear up to her butt. People were dressed very appropriately and most people gave "I can't believe it!" stares.
Oh well, we grew apart. My priorities are much different in life then getting men's attention. I have a feeling the two of you will grow apart, too.

It's most likely a desperate cry for help, or attention. But first, you said she dresses "inappropiately". Inappropiately to who? Maybe she may seem like a "scank" (as you called her) in your eyes, but for someone else's eyes she looks just right. Maybe she tries to impress someone. But who? Try to find that out. Plus, if she's a teenager, it's all probably the expression of an insecured girl, who is very afraid to be herself. Or better yet, it's a try to escape from being unseen. Maybe, being inappropiate is better than being normal. This is usually an important rule for insecured people. Try to talk with her about all of these in a gentle manner. For example, you can ask her how does she choose the her outfit before leaving the house. How does she feel about people who dress diffrent? How does she see the way you dress? Is she trying to attract someone'e attention? Or does she try to imitate someone? If she believes you are a good friend, she won't feel offended. Of course, you must be gentle, because insecured people usually tend to become very defensive when someone dares to enter their intimate territory. I hope it answered to something. Good luck.

Are you assuming that she doesn't know that she is dressing like a skank. I am sure she know that she dresses provocatively because she is doing on purpose to get attention. Find out why she is so insecure that the only way she knows to get noticed is by showing her body. Is your friend that shallow? She has to get to the root of the issue which is not her dress but how she feels inside. She likes the attention and probably don't want to give it up.

aks your friend whyshes is dressing like that pertend you havent noticed and tell her she doesnt look good. ask her if shes feels confortable wearing that. tell her hte truth if you were very good friends then you would tell her hte truth. its better to tell her then having someone else telling her the truth.i always tell my friend tthey are dressing like shanks and they stop.better to tell hte truth than lie.
