No way! People ARE NOT possessions.
I believe prized possessions are the happy memories a person has that no one can take away from you, or maybe even an heirloom piece of jewelry, etc.

Noooo. I had an ex-husband who considered ME a posession (notice the "ex" part - ha ha) -- remarried now for 25 years. Anyway, no people are NOT possessions. This old slow computer I'm typing on is a possession - ha ha.

By law you do own your kids 18 and under. Kids 18 and under are your property, they have no rights against you the parent.

well possesing something is having something in your grasp...so technically u can EMOTIONALLY have them as a "possesion".
back then in biblical times... women were property in a sense...they were sold, bought, and u could do ANYTHING u wanted to them.... that a REAL possession.
but anyway... its an emotional term, not physical
