You don't. You accept it as a fact of our existence.

You do look in to yourself though and ask, "What am I trying to hide?"

Are you really that afraid that you need to control others so much?

Philosophically speaking, rip out their eyes or become invisible.

If you can't see then you can't see.

If I am invisible then you can't see that either.

Other than that it is a case of not existing.

If I am not here then I am not visible.

Personally, I don't do a good job of this. I like to be seen. It allows me to know that I am real. It does not tell me exactly who I am but it does tell me I exist. If I have to keep someone from looking to close I will find a careful medium for the philosophic extremes I gave you. Remember, in philosophy we do kill flies with cannons, or bazookas to argue the extreme and hopefully find the categorical to any situation. In life things aren't so simple. I would not pluck your eyes out to keep you from seeing me but I might just keep you otherwise occupied looking for others when you could be looking at me.

My only problem here Is I like people looking at me.

So the answer personally is I probably wouldn't prevent you from looking too close until you were too close and then what good does it do me to hide or blind you in any fashion. You will see what you see and I will live with that opinion.

Actually there can be no Looking Too Close for more than 5 seconds. Unless I happen to be his / her Lover. As looking closer is enering the other's teritorry like a banned territorial waters. So it is just another sort of tress pass. Even Husband Wife relations too may not be so intimate and can be judged by the amount of Close Looking they do . this is the Gate Way to the Soul when one looks too close to other.

Question makes no sense; needs clarification. Too close at what? My body, my house, my car. My psychological makeup? Standing too close and getting into my space...boundary issues?

I can not prevent people doing any of the above; if someone wants to offend, they will find a way. In the meantime, I keep my boundaries as tight as I need them to be.

The best way I have found is to hide behind the idea of what I think other people think of me and do my best to reinforce that idea.
I hope other people think more of me than I think of myself and so I behave in a manor that encourages this. This might be shallow but the truth is if I only answer to myself then I would act very different but as I know that there are others that observe my behavior I try to conform to what I think they think is suitable, and good. Like if I am alone I think is fine to masturbate, but if there are others around I fear that they would find it an inappropriate behavior in their presence.
The best way to keep others from looking to close is to separate myself from their presence and be alone,

Kick them in the shins. Then they'll know they're too close. If they don't like it they should back out of range.

Lucky 3, do you want people to look closer, is that why you ask, just a thought...

by acting normal, people tend not to notice you and will therefore not look, but if you should be a bit off the normal, then it catches the eye.

Although not proud of it, I push those away that get too close.
