Shady, why do you assume only women are knowledgeable in such topics?

Usually using a heating pad on the lower abdominal region works well. Stretching that region of the body can also help relieve cramps. Such as those done in Yoga warm ups. Usually going for a brisk walk helps as well. This next one isn't so much a "home remedy" but if you have a TENS unit or access to one, placing the pads on the primary abdominal muscles and using a VERY LOW setting for 10-20 minutes can relax the muscles as well (the key is VERY LOW...if you have the normal setting where the muscles twitch and jump it will feel like someone is punching you in the stomach). Finally, depending on your beliefs and such, aroma therapy using lavender can calm the body as well.

When all else fails, using Aleve can help too. (Aleve is the exact same thing as those menstrual medications at half the cost...same exact chemicals makeup though)

There is one more thing you can do...but I'm not sure if I should write it...it involves...umm...using a device to take care of your womanly needs. I guess I'll just leave it at that, but it is supposed to do wonders to relieve cramps.
