I think the toy manufacturers get a pay-back from the companies that manufacture batteries, because every popular toy takes batteries. It can become a very expensive proposition for parents. You would think that those so-called designers of toys could be a little more creative when thinking up new toys. My kids used to have more fun with an old refrigerator box, pots & pans or Play-Doh. The sad part of it is that they lose interest in a short time and that toy gets tossed to the bottom of a toy box. Another gripe I have with toy manufacturers is the poor quality of the toys. They use the cheapest materials and charge absorbent prices for junk.

It depends what the toy is and who is playing with it!
