I have removed the fuel lines from the fuel rail and all the mounting bolts from the fuel rail, the only prblem is I cant get the injectors to lift out. From what I understand they are supposed to just ease out with the rail. any suggestions?

Chances are that the injector O-rings have lost their suppleness over time and have fused the rubber portion to the metal injector housing. Spray with Gumor WD-40 to provide a little solventing and lubrication to the injector insertion areas and they should "wobble" there way out. Be sure to replace the old O-rings with new ones!!!

Notes

REPLACING ONE FUEL INJECTOR
* Unscrew four mounting bolts of injection pipe.
* Push up injection pipe until fuel injectors have cleared the guide on the intake manifold.
* Pull off plug on fuel injector.
* Lift out retainer and pull fuel injector out of injection pipe.

Installation Note:
* Check O-rings (1), replacing if necessary.
* Check code number (2). FD = Manufacturing date.
* Check position of plastic washer (3).
* Check color of plug receptacle (5) or injector guard (4).
* Only coat O-rings for installation with Vaseline or SAE 90/SAE 80 gear lube.

there is a metal retaining clip on on the kneck of the injector that holds it tight onto the fuel rail, pull the clip, you may have to wiggle the injector side to side and pull hard but it will come out.
