If it is your first time, yes, you can easily stay busy with a 7 day package at Disney World. I would strongly recommend you buy a guidebook. As you may have already noticed, Disney is a huge, multi-park complex. Can be quite overwhelming to a first-time visitor, so it's definitely worth a little homework. Also, this is one of my favorite website: http://www.allearsnet.com

If you are going to do just Disney, I would recommend buying a package deal directly from Disney or a Disney travel agent. If you will be flying, they will pick you up at the airport, deliver you to your hotel, and you can use Disney transportation the whole time you are there to get anywhere. No need to rent a car! There's a rental place on-property if you did want to get one for a couple of days, though.

It's never too early to book if you are going in the summer, to assure that you get the room you want. Summer is the busiest time. I would recommend the earlier in the summer, the better. Late May or early June is still not too crowded. By the time you get to mid-June, it's crazy! So again, if you are going then, a guidebook will be really helpful.

I think every Disney park has something to offer. I like all the Disney parks better than any of the other nearby parks.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Sea World. But if your kids enjoy animals, zoos, aquariums, you might really like it. You can easily cover the park in just a day. You will have to get a car or hire a taxi or Mears shuttle to take you there.

Me and my wife go every year, for the past 6 years. There is a reason why because it is something truly magical. go on Disneys website look at the packages, some are good. We only stayed on disney once, my wife works for Hilton so we say there for next to nothing and rent a car to drive in, then drive to the beach. now for 6 day you will need it all for disney so much to do and it will be a pitty to miss any of it do the hopper option too. There is something for everyone there, someone said Epcot was a bust wrong that is by far the best theme park in the world. They have 3 huge attractions there, mission space, sorin, and test track. If you have teenagers turn them loose on the big attraction while you and your husband enjoy world showcase. I hated this section when i went with my parents now i love it. The best thing to do is call disney and ask them questions. They will be happy to do it. Make sure to ask them how crowds are, sometimes going late August is the best, they will tell you. We went in October when the whole east coast was on fall break and the crowds were awful-this can make your vaction not enjoyable in a real hurry. Other times we went were end of August, mid september, April 2 weeks after easter and January. all of these times the crowds were much smaller. We called Disney and asked them when non busy times are, they hit is on the dot with the crowd levels. This is the biggest factor on how enjoyable your vacation to disney world is. Start with Disney web site, if flying keep looking at air fare. First determine when you are going to go there, then hit your pricing. Sea world is ok, but not worth the 63 bucks. I would just stick with a 7 day disney pass.

I recently lived in Orlando for 3 years. Depending on how old your children are I would of course suggest the Magic Kingdom as your top priority. If your kids are say 10 or older then Universal Studios is EXCELLENT! Great rides for the kids and the adults. There is a seperate park called Islands of Adventure within it and there are several roller coasters. CityWalk is also connected to Universal Studios and there you will find some great restaurants - Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville was a favorite for my husband and I.

If the kids are younger and like animals, Animal Kingdom is alot of fun. They have a "mock" safari ride where you ride in a jeep through what looks like an actual African Safari. You'll see Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, etc... just roaming around as if they were in their actual setting. It is really amazing how Disney has created this.

Since I lived there I really don't know much about good packages or when to book. Just make sure you have good walking shoes. You will be exhausted!

Have Fun!

I book on line at www.waltdisneyworld.com, with a 200 dollar deposit I can then make payments as I go. On the site you can choose you meals and make a call to get priority seating. You can plan you meals up to 180 days ahead, as soon as you have reservation numbers.
On the same site you can see descriptions of each ride, order park maps, all of which take the worry out of planning a trip.
The number of days you have is great for Disney World adding Sea World will limit what all you will be able to do at Disney.

Disney worldwide has 4 topic parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios) and a pair of water parks (snowstorm coastline, hurricane Lagoon), mutually as Disneyland purely has 2 topic parks (Disneyland and California adventure). considering that Disney worldwide has 4 topic parks, this is certain to have greater rides. in spite of the undeniable fact that, Disneyland motel does even have some great rides that Disney worldwide does not have, like the Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Mr. Toad's Wild journey, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Roger Rabbit, looking Nemo, California Screamin', Goofy's Sky college, Grizzly River Run, Little Mermaid, and Mickey's relaxing Wheel. So, Disneyland isn't in basic terms a smaller version of Disney worldwide, there is rather some distinctive stuff. So, once you're a Disney fan who's been to Disney worldwide, Disneyland is properly worth finding out as properly. exceptionally considering that rather some human beings will circulate to Disney worldwide and could circulate to in basic terms Magic Kingdom--Disneyland's magic kingdom is larger and greater suited (and the unique), so i might want to circulate there if i'm purely going to one park.

If you are going to visit Disney Theme parks, you must to stay in a Disney hotel because you have buses every 10 minuts to the parks and form the parks to your hotel, your pass will be cheaper for 4, 5 or 6 days pass.
You will have extramagic hours and will extra time in the parks. In the value Disney hotels you will have all drinks for 10 dollars (juice, soda, chocolate, ice, coffee, etc) during the time you stay in this hotel.
Look for information in the oficial Disney page in internet.

i just went in Oct. and had a great time. My best advice is get the park hopper plus tickets, meal plan, and pay attention to extra magic hours. -great to have 3 extra hours in the evening. if you're a night owl and can stay out all night, magic k. has late hours on extra magic evening and the park is empty (happened on 3 trips, clears out a few hours before the extra ones...we get to stay on splash mountain and keep riding, walk on Pirates, the Jungle Cruise, and most others. we have had Swiss Family Robinsons' Treehouse to ourselves multiple times).
Best rides? ....my favorites are Everest and It's Tough to be a Bug (animal kingdom), The Great Movie Ride and Muppets 3D at MGM, Test Track, Mexico's ride, and Figment at Epcot, and Buzz LIghtyears Space Ranger Spin, Pooh, Snow White ride, Pirates, Splash Mtn, Thunder Mtn, Swiss Family Treehouse, Mikey's Philharmagic, and Monsters Inc. laugh floor at Magic K.
things to do: enjoy where you dine, they have amazing food, i LOVE the Polynesian and you dont have to stay at a resort to eat there, but do make reservations asap, they book months in advance. Ohana dinner and character breakfasts are my favorites. Also, dont miss out on the amazing waterparks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon-snorkle for free! Get the "garbage pail" for dessert, it's tons of delicious ice cream piled high with tons of topping, Mikey Sprinkles, and everything else, tons to share, and it's only $9...comes in a childs sand pail w/ shovel, just wash it out in the restroom and it's a souvenier.
When to book? ASAP, the sooner the better b/c you will want to get your dining reservations done asap...months in advance. Plan where you'll eat based on what park has extra magic hours.
I would not go off disney property personally, they have so much to do and it's expensive enough. you can swim with Dolphins at Disney, it's at Epcot. They also have scuba diving, surf lessons, and tours of all the parks.
Have fun. read tips and reviews of parks, and all restaurants at allearsnet.com the more informed u are the better! I book my package by going to the WDW website, planning my best days and options, then i call Disney and tell them exactly what i want (for some reason i prefer talking with someone) i also find my airfare first and then i tell them when i book what my flight info is. If you plan on WDW you can check availability then i get my airfare from cheaptickets.com and tell them the info. Then i plan out the extra magic hrs and decide where i'll be each day and then making dining asap. There is no penalty for not showing up, although try to show up, but i came across places that would not take walk ups. Some places will charge u if u dont show but they'll tell u when u make the reservation. only a few do that. I always get Magic Express and they deliver your checked baggage inside your hotel 3 hrs later or so. They also bring you back to and from the airport in Disney style. It really makes things worry free. If you dont like noise, request a room when u sign in at your hotel that is not near a pool. its busy in the pool all night! bring tons of bottled water in your suitcase, it's 2$ a bottle there. i bring 2 bottles/person/day

hi. we went in october of this year.our third trip. epcot was a bit of a bust. very dissapointing. everyone we went with loved magic kingdom and mgm the best. everything is worth seeing in those parks. i wasn't crazy about seaworld but if you're into that sort of thing, you may want to check it out. very pricey to get in though. i suggest taking a day at universal studios. awesome rides and very fun. i'd look into booking soon. you never know how busy they'll be. word of advice, if you want to eat at one of the nicer places in the parks, and you will after eating fast foods all day, have disney make you a reservation early. they get booked fast.
